Reimagining British tailoring, Daniel Crabtree creates progressive menswear classics that are meticulously hand-crafted and built to endure. Each shape is drawn and cut freehand, generating unexpected fits and proportions that evoke awkward youth. Vintage knitwear and shirtings are taken apart, reclaimed and repurposed, used alongside locally sourced wools and traditional suitings that have been compulsively embroidered. Overcoats are left unlined and unstructured, coupled with shorts and knee-high cut-up socks to establish a signature, bold silhouette.
Originally from Wiltshire, Daniel graduated from the MA course at Central Saint Martins in 2018, having received the Samsung Design Fund and L'Oreal Professionnel Scholarships. Having previously worked with Aitor Throup, Sibling and Gareth Pugh, he made his debut at the BFC showrooms at London Fashion Week in February 2019, sponsored by Peroni and was shortlisted for NEWGEN in the same year.
